Smoke Alarm Installation Event

On Saturday, May 16, the American Red Cross is partnering with the Cheney Fire Department & City of Cheney to host a Smoke Alarm Installation Event in Cheney. Volunteers work in small teams to install free smoke alarms in local homes and help ensure families have working alarms. No prior experience is necessary, and training is provided on site.

This is a one‑day, hands‑on opportunity for parents, guardians, staff, and community members who want to help keep Cheney households safe. It’s also a meaningful way to model civic responsibility and service within the community.
